Ramsnet Student University Resources Home University Resources Welcome to AISG Athletics Activities University Resources Food & Nutrition Transportation Counseling AISG believes in a student-centered approach with the post-secondary process. AISG believes in a student-centered approach with the post-secondary process. This means students are expected to take control of searching for universities or colleges, completing and submitting applications by posted deadlines, paying application fees, making decisions driving the process forward, signing up for standardized tests, and ultimately making an acceptance choice. Often times your family will play a role in decision making; however, do keep in mind you are the one attending university. This process will enable you to develop a sense of autonomy and responsibility, which are expected of you when you enter higher education. My job is to guide, counsel, probe, refer, suggest, and inform. Much of the information you need to know can be found below. When searching for universities or colleges, We encourage you to look for the 'right fit'. You know yourself better than anyone else. This is your future, so consider what exactly you need and want out of a post-secondary education. When searching and applying, do not consider universities solely based on name and ranking. There are a number variables to consider which are just as important, such as size, location, costs, and course offerings. When we speak of the 'right fit', you must also consider if you will literally fit in. We look forward to working with you during this exciting moment in your life. -AISG University Counselors Events & University and College Visits Upcoming Events Application Timeline Higher Education News & Opportunities 文本内容 富文本内容 Search for Universities Global Search Bachelors Portal iStudent Global China Study in China Australia Australian Education Network IDP Education Europe (Continental) Erasmus Programme Study in Denmark Study in Finland Campus France Study in Germany Study in Italy Study in Lithuania Study in the Netherlands Study in Spain Study in Sweden Study in Switzerland South Korea Study in Korea Overseas Koreans Education Portal Canada Maclean's Guide EduCanada Hong Kong, China Study in Hong Kong United Kingdom UCAS The Complete University Guide WhatUni? Ramsnet Student Counseling Home Counseling Welcome to AISG Athletics Activities University Resources Food & Nutrition Transportation Counseling Social and Emotional Development Our work is both proactive and preventative as we teach explicit counseling lessons to support our students as they progress through their formative years. Through individual and small group counseling sessions and age-appropriate classroom lessons, students are provided with a multitude of ways to foster a variety of social and emotional wellness strategies. Our counselors work as part of a Student Support Team (SST), an intervention team that seeks to ensure appropriate academic, behavioral, and social support for all students. Counselors also provide parenting education through workshops and work with families as they transition in and out of Guangzhou. Counseling services at AISG are provided in an atmosphere that demonstrates an understanding of the student's background and the factors that are influencing his/her present circumstances, with acute cultural awareness and - in some cases - total confidentiality unless the topic is of a legal manner. International school Counseling Association (ISCA) Framework Our evidence-based International School Counselor Association (ISCA) standards model provides a strong focus on social-emotional, academic, and interpersonal counseling, as well as counselor-led parent education opportunities for the AISG community.
